Dominic Stone is a highly accomplished actor, director, and teacher with over 25 years of professional experience in theatre, film, and television. A graduate of the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Dominic has performed leading roles on stage and screen, including regional theatre tours, critically acclaimed short films, and television appearances on series such as Rake, Home & Away, and G.P.

As a passionate educator, Dominic brings two decades of teaching experience to the workshop space. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate actors, coached successful applicants into elite institutions like NIDA, and led masterclasses at festivals including Short+Sweet and NIDA. He is also the founder of the Newtown Acting School, where he has developed courses in audition technique, Shakespeare, and performance generation.

Dominic’s theatre direction credits span from Shakespeare to contemporary works, with standout productions such as Romeo & Juliet and Vincent, a one-man show based on the life of Van Gogh. His coaching expertise extends into the corporate sector, where he applies performance principles to leadership and communication training.

Known for his commitment to “visceral truth” in performance, Dominic’s Acting for Theatre workshop offers actors of all levels the chance to explore bold, truthful storytelling through character, voice, and presence. Participants will benefit from his deep industry insight, dynamic teaching style, and unwavering dedication to the craft.
